Classifying Fish - Class:Actinopterygii - Bony Fishes

Fish live in the water. They breathe with gills and they have scales. Some fish live in fresh water and some live in salt water. Not all "fish" type animals are actually fish. A whale looks like a fish and lives in the water but is actually a mammal. A true fish does not have to come up for air. It gets oxygen through the water.
