Moose

The moose is a magnificent animal. It is the state mammal for the states of Maine and Alaska. The moose makes a great addition to your Animal Notebook as well. You could include the moose as part of a study on mammals, forest or woodland animals.

Place your moose (Species: Alces Americanus) in your animal notebook in the following order:

Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Chordata
Subphylum: Vertebrata
Class: Mammalia
Order: Artiodactyla
Family: Cervidae
Subfamily: Capreolinae
Genus: Alces
