Earth science fun! Make a working Volcano model.

MAKE A VOLCANO

You need:

Bottle with a skinny neck

Cake pan or pie plate

Soil or clay

Funnel

1/4 c baking soda

Dish detergent

1/4 c vinegar

Red food coloring

Put the bottle in the middle of the pie plate. Mold dirt or clay around it so it looks like a real mountain.

Pour the baking sodas in the bottle using the funnel. Add a squirt of dish soap.

Put a few drops of food coloring in the vinegar. Pour the vinegar in the bottle. And watch your volcano erupt!
